Dr Betty Keng

Orthodontist

In 1997, at just 17 years old, Betty came to NZ from Taiwan in order to complete her high school education here. She quickly fell in love with both the country and its friendly people, and she decided to stay.

After receiving her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2003, Betty spent a year as a Dental House Surgeon in Dunedin. She then went on to work as a General Dentist in the Manawatu & Wanganui region.

Betty’s interest in Orthodontics led her to return to the University of Otago to complete a three year Clinical Doctorate in Orthodontics, where she graduated in 2009. During this time, she passed her membership exams in Orthodontics with both the Australasian and Edinburgh Royal Colleges of Surgeons. Betty is also a member of the NZ Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and World Federation of Orthodontists.
